How do I find Email Headers?

Below are step-by-step instructions for retrieving email headers. You may choose your email client from the dropdown list below.

Email Client:

Microsoft Outlook

1. Open the message

Start by opening the message in a new window (double click)

2. Get the headers

Next, go to the View menu and select Options.

Copy the text in the Internet Headers section of the window to your clipboard.

3. Paste into the "Email Header" field

Finally, paste the copied text into the "Email Header" field on this form.
